MITT will offer the following THREE PRIVATE TOURS (minimum of 35 people required to be on private basis) for Cardiology participants, their families and guests. You may book online for these THREE PRIVATE TOURS in advance before arriving to Cancun. You will receive your tour(s) confirmation by e-mail.
Once you are at the Marriott Cancun Resort, please stop by the MITT Hospitality desk which will be adjacent to the meeting room to make your tour payment and for any assistance you may need. You can pay by Credit Card (Visa or Master Card) US dollars or Mexican pesos.
Please note that MITT is not a part of the Marriott Cancun Resort.
Río Secreto
The Mayan Underworld

Come with us on a magical journey through the crystal museum: Río Secreto, where our planet history is written on the myriad geological formations. Floating on its clear fresh water will change your life forever! Experience this stunning underground river with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites (also called dripstones). Because of their slow and gradual formation over many thousands of years, fantastic passage shapes develop, sediments are deposited, and beautiful calcite formations build up. To be able to enter such a place is an experience unlikely to be forgotten. It is like stepping back in time to witness something mysterious and truly spectacular. It gives you the opportunity to commune with nature and understand its origin. Caves are unique and very special part of our natural environment.

This tour is not recommended for people with severe physical or motor disability. Cardiac issues, pregnant women and people under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Maximum recommended weight 120 kg/250lb.
Avoid the use of chemical products (sunblock, biodegradable sunscreen, repellents, excessive makeup, etc…) inside the underground river. Cameras and video cameras are not allowed inside the underground river. Photography service is not included.

Combining two of the MANY exciting activities Cancun offers, the Speed Boat and Snorkeling tour is sure to keep you smiling long after the ride is over. You and a friend will navigate your Speed Boat (for two) on a breathtaking voyage across the Nichupté Lagoon, where you will find yourself in a winding maze of mangroves surrounded by the calls of exotic birds. You’ll continue to speed your way to the living coral reefs where some amazing snorkeling awaits.

7 Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza is one of the greatest remnants of the Mayan civilization from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and was voted as one of the 7 Wonders of the World, joining ranks with the Great Pyramid of Egypt and the Taj Mahal.
The tour includes a visit to the archaeological zone, a late buffet lunch and then you will enjoy a visit to Valladolid, a Colonial City which was founded in 1542. Walk through its Principal Plaza, visiting the Fransiscan Church, admire the Lezama murals were this art tells us the history of the city that used to be a Mayan settlement and visit the San Bernardino de Siena Convent.
